Upload Guidelines

Welcome to the 3DTV community. In order to make this an enjoyable and safe community for everyone, you will need to follow some basic rules when uploading videos or images to the 3DTV site:

What you can't do:


  • Do not submit or upload any content that is private or that contains confidential information.
  • Do not upload any content that is harmful, embarrassing, hateful, or abusive.
  • Do not upload any content that is obscene, profane, vulgar, indecent or offensive. 3DTV is not the place to post sexually-explicit or pornographic videos (even if they feature you).
  • Do not upload violent or explicit videos on 3DTV or upload any content that is explicit or graphic in any way (whether of a sexual or violent nature or otherwise).
  • Do not upload any videos that contain mature content (such as alcohol or tobacco use, etc.) without using appropriate age restrictions.
  • Do not upload any content that shows you or others engaging in illegal activity or that encourages others to break the law.
  • Do not upload any content that violates the legal rights of others. For example, do not upload any content that was created by others or that is owned by others, unless you have their permission. Also, do not upload any content that violates others' privacy rights or rights of publicity.
  • Do not distribute spam, leave repeated messages or post repeated content.

What you can do:


  • Upload content on 3DTV that complies with the rules set forth above and our Terms of Use.
  • Actively participate in the 3DTV community. Post comments, give Props to others' videos, develop the content on your Channel, and work to attain "published" status for your Channel.
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you are unsure whether a video would violate someone's rights, err on the side of caution and do not post it on 3DTV.
  • Post only content that you are comfortable with becoming publicly available.
  • Help us monitor the 3DTV community. If you believe a video violates the rules set forth above or our Terms of Use, please let us know by flagging the video or photo.

Get Started

Sign up to create a channel

To sign up, choose a display name, enter your email address, and choose a password. Once you've completed this step, your personal channel will be set up. Convert videos and photos and interact with the 3DTV.com community to take your channel public, receive your own unique URL and broadcast to the world.

Upload a 2D video or photo and we will convert it for free

Click the upload button in the toolbar, select your file, and enter some descriptive information. 3DTV.com will convert your video or photo to 3D and notify you when it's ready to view and share. Learn more.

Upload 3D content and convert to 2D or other 3D formats

Already have something in 3D, but want to share it in 2D or other 3D formats? Upload it and we’ll take care of the rest by converting it to whatever format you need-2D, anaglyph, 3D stereoscopic, and more. Learn more.

Viewing

Our proprietary media player allows every viewer to see any video or photo in all the different formats of 2D and 3D. Click “View Mode” on the player and experiment by clicking through the options while you watch the video. Learn more.

Sharing

You can share your private content with people on an individual basis and throughout the web in all 3D and 2D formats. Plus, we offer an auto-share function that automatically posts all activity to your Facebook and Twitter profiles. Embed codes are also available for individual videos and photos in your channel. Be the first to start a 3D viral sensation with your personal photos and videos!

Publish your channel & get your own URL

Interact with the 3DTV.com community to take your channel public and broadcast it to the world. By taking steps to update your profile, upload content, comment and more, you can reach Publisher status. Then, you can publish your channel and receive your own unique URL. Also add a 3DTV widget to your website and send visitors directly to your channel. You control privacy settings to decide which videos and photos you make public or private.

Build your 3DTV community

Go channel surfing within 3DTV user channels. View, comment, give props and subscribe to other channels you like. This will increase your viewership and build a wider audience for your personal channel within the 3DTV user network.
