At the recent Consumer Electronic Show in las vegas, NV, LG showed off a massive Cinema 3D display. It was actually created with a combination of many TV sets being put together. You can watch the display in action as it was filmed at CES right here on 3DTV.
The huge display is quite impressive as you can see from the video. It showcased the cosmos with planets and stars being shown in motion. It was as if the viewer is taken on a ride through a space ship. However, it also looks a bit more sci-fi than astrological in nature. There are various crystals of all sorts of colors flying through the air near the viewer and probably turning much faster than anything in outer space would realistically.
The display is really designed well in the sense it mesmerized CES attendees who walked under it through the door that tunnels around it. What makes this display truly standout though, besides its immense size, is that it comes with stereo 3D capabilities.
Another thing that impressed us here me about the display is that sometimes multiple images would be displayed simultaneously in various windows around the whole screen. You can see it in the demonstration video up above around the 2:17 mark.
The overall quality was great as well with a very good color contrast and clarity.
If you were not present at CES 2012 be sure to check out the video, which again can be accessed here.
