In part II of Panasonic's demonstration of their 3D TV sets, Panasonic goes into the Viera GT50 series of Plasmas. You can watch the video HERE directly on 3DTV.
The GT 50 series are an upgrade to the GT30 series and this time around offer realtime 2D-to-3D conversion. They also come packed with a great viewing angle, and a wide color spectrum.
You can expect these Plasmas to have very fluid and smooth transitions with a lot of depth that we usually only get to see at the cinema.
Jack from panasonic explained at CES, “What you're going to get is a full HD 3D picture, which means you're going to have incredible immersive depth.”
If you want to get a sense of what to expect, you can find out more about the predecessor GT30 series from Panasonic here. Expect improvements in many categories however. Like that series, the GT50 will range from sizes in the 50” to 65” ranges.
According to HDTV-News, what separates these TVs from previous models is that they include a 1080p Infinite Black Pro Panel, 2500FFD (focused field drive), fast switching phosphors, 24,576 steps of gradation technology, and the 2D-to-3D conversion. They will also include HDMI outputs, USB outputs, and Smart TV features like a Web browser and social networking through Wi-Fi.
Check them out the GT50 series later this year if you're looking for a great 3D plasma experience.
