There are various brands of 3D glasses out there as well as multiple 3D technologies they target – passive or active 3D. However, one brand of glasses made a strong showing at this past CES 2012 in Las Vegas, NV., and that brand is Xpand. You can watch the video of the CES 2012 Xpand 3D glasses being shown here.
These glasses look and feel great as you can probably tell from the demo. Unlike many competitive sets out there, they are light and compact thus giving you the feeling you were wearing standard prescription glasses and not some of those bulky 3D brands out there.
There are various models of 3D glasses you can choose from on Xpand's website, however one model stands out in particular. This model is none other than the Xpand Universal 3D glasses. This pair of glasses offers universal coverage of 3D content from movie theaters to home 3D TV setups. You can find out more about them here. Keep in mind they are meant for active 3D technology.
Another pair of Xpand's offerings, in terms of 3D glasses, worth looking into for 3D fans is the Xpand X103x Series. These glasses are new and also active shutter 3D. They offer a 30% improved ergonomic design over previous models, an increased battery life (replaceable batteries), and improved brightness. They are meant to be worn at cinemas. just 3D glasses, however the company does specialize in them with some great models to choose from. There are even educational 3D glasses available for 3D viewings in the classroom.
